The men who were arrested earlier this week in Paris on terror-related suspicion, had planned an attack on December 1, targeting key sites in and around the French capital, Reuters reports on Thursday.
Police sources said that targets included the intelligence service headquarters in the Paris suburb of Levallois-Perret, as well as a High Court building, the Champs Elysees shopping area and Disneyland Paris theme park.
Police got information on the date of the attack and the locations that could have been targeted from one of the suspect’s smartphones.
Two of the seven people arrested in terror raids on Monday, were released on Wednesday. The arrests were the result of an eight-month investigation by security services.
Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said the attacks have been planned for a long time.
